fair warning

You know that interview I was talking about yesterday? Well, it went well. I sent the customary thank you notes. And now I wait to hear back from them. Whether it be a 'You're Hired' or a 'Beat It', it doesn't matter. I just want to know when to tell the current boss that I'm gone.

I already gave a head's up warning. We're now down to a matter of weeks, people.

You know what's funny? There I am at the interview, touting how much I strive to be the best project manager in the world, when here I am letting things go to shit on the projects that I'm still theoretically responsible for all because I don't want to do it anymore. I feel bad, a little. It's not the client's fault that I could care less about overseeing a site hosting transfer or starting a new intranet project. But in the end, it will be them that suffers. But I just can't bring myself to be really productive about it. Instead I just shrug and hit refresh on my email, just waitng to hear back about my interview.
