almost there

Now it's just a matter of will power. Can I survive the last half hour. Really, I've done a whole lot of nothing today. If you count watching previews of Harry Potter's Chamber of Secrets movie nothing.

It comes out in two weeks. I'm so excited! But that's also the day that I'm leaving for my weekend in Florida, so I doubt I'll see the movie opening weekend.

I love that Harry Potter. If I had a magic wand right now, I'd whisk myself to the peak of Mount Everest just so I can see the sunset.

Sigh...

blucky

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock...

The minutes aren't going by quick enough today. I've already read my favorite journals, checked my horoscope, the headlines on CNN, emailed Mike back, visited the bathroom about 4 times...

I feel very warm. I hope I'm not getting sick. But my neck is all achy, I just took some Tylenol to ease my pounding head. I hate being sick. Even if it does mean missing work. Ugh...

I made my appointment for the Wound Care Center. My boo boo from my first leg injurty this summer is taking a long time to heal. Time to call in the big guns. Heal me. Fix me up. Get me dancing in time for this Christmas wedding. I have things to do, dammit!

Ugh, the head is pounding again. Maybe it has something to do with the clack, clack, clacking of the keyboard.

the human race

I went to the NYC Marathon yesterday. It was so fantastic. My cousin Michele was running. Check out the pictures.

It was thrilling being in the city. The weather was cooperative. It wasn't too cold. It was just right for walking, and hopping the subway, and hanging out in the park. It was exciting seing all the participants. The young and old, the seasoned runners and the first timers, those who ran to commerate a loved one, and those who ran asguides for the disabled. Everyone had a reason for running and it was beautiful to see the city and everyone from all parts of the world cheering them on. We weren't New Yorkers, Texans, Americans or Africans. We were humans all celebrating the accomplishments of those who ran.
