sunrise

There are some things is this world that really deserves notice. I like sunrises. Of course, this requires waking up so freekin' early, but some things are worth the sacrifice.

I really didn't plan on waking up so early today. It just happened. I think I was too warm curled up in my flannel pajamas, in my flannel sheets, under my velour blanket, under my comfortor. But that could just be a guess.

So I was up early. I went downstairs to get some orange juice and to see if I felt like cooking something or playing Grand Theft Auto with the volume turned down low. Sam was still sleeping, you know and she was not a morning person.

That's when I saw it out my kitchen window. The sun just making it's way into this world. Nature was giving birth to it's child, The Sun. That's why the sky is streaked with reds and pinks. Nature's blood streaks the sky.

That magical moment only last for a few minutes, before the Sun's radiant light scares away all the other colors, orange, yellow, lavender, silver, gold - until all that's left is a harsh white light. Blinding. The infant Sun's first screams of life. Breathing in the morning air for the first time. To live it's short life. Until it does it all again tomorrow.

I like sunrises. Today's show was just for me.
