Rock of Ages

Twenty years later and Def Leppard still rocks!

I'm sitting here waiting to go out as I'm playing the new Def Leppard CD, X. It's really good.

You can instantly tell it's Def Lep because of the layered vocals. But don't expect an arena rock song like 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' because this CD is a little more tame.

I remember back in 1983 when 'Photograph' was on the charts. I was in fifth grade and would stay up late on Friday to watch the Friday Night Video Fights on MTV. Photograph had been kicking ass for weeks. I can't remember who finally beat it. It might have been Journey or Michael Jackson. Either way, the next morning my friends went to hang out on the street corner to mope about the loss.

Ah... it's magical how music can make you transend time.
